Where are we?
The Scout Hall in Llandeilo is not the easiest place to find. We are Located within a minutes walk of the town itself. We can be found easiest with directions from the entrance to Dinefwr Park.
On foot from the entrance to Dinefwr Park: - take the path adjacent to the fire station leading into the play ground past the tennis court and Bowls club. Continue straight through the park and the Scout hall is on the left as you leave the Playground.
By Car again from the entrance to Dinefwr Park: - follow the road into Llandeilo. At Spar on New Road turn left into the narrow side street. At the end of the terraced housing turn left again. At the end of the lane the Scout Hall is on the right hand side.
Where we are!
Llandeilo is a small rural market town in Carmarthenshire. Within easy reach of the M4 and on the A40 it is hard to imagine that we are on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park. The town itself is beautifully placed in between the national trust Dinefwr Park and the River Towy.
Dinefwr Castle Llandeilo
The upper reaches of the Towy Valley flood plains are our playgrounds. Our Group is surrounded by locations like Dinefwr Park, Newton House, Carreg Cennan Castle and Gelli Aur Country Park.

Within walking distance of the Scout Hall is the National Trust owned Dinefwr Park. Here we can walk through the castle woods nature reserve, play wide games on the acres of open land with the marvellous views of the Towy Valley as a backdrop.
Where we like to go!
By car we head 3 miles down the Towy Valley to Gelli Aur Country Park. The park is 60 acres of woodland surrounding the Mansion. The ecosystems include woodland, Marshland, pond meadow so there is a massive variation of activities.
With wild roaming deer and a deer park, a large range of birds including peacocks, pheasant, pied fly catchers and chiff-chaffs. There is also a magnificent Arboretum to explore.
